MyFirstGym Craigieburn | Part-time | Assistant Manager/2IC

MyFirstGym Craigieburn is looking for an experienced people manager to help lead our club, support its growth and create an outstanding experience for children and families.

We know the right person may need a roster that works around other commitments. We’re open to discussing flexible shifts with the right candidate, while ensuring the club and its events are well supported.

You’ll work closely with the Club Manager and guide the team, handle member concerns, support sales and retention, and make sure our daily standards are met. You’ll also lead the planning and delivery of birthday parties, holiday programs and other club events.

This is a hands-on management role for someone who enjoys being present with their team and customers. You’ll know when to step in, how to make decisions under pressure, and how to follow through after a busy shift.

What you’ll be responsible for

- Leading and supporting staff on shift, setting clear expectations and leading by example.
- Managing day-to-day club operations when the Club Manager is away.
- Creating a welcoming, consistent experience for members, trial guests and families.
- Following up enquiries, securing trials and supporting membership sales.
- Handling member feedback and cancellation conversations with care and confidence.




- Planning and coordinating birthday parties, date nights, holiday programs and club events.
- Keeping member records, club administration and operational processes accurate.
- Maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness and safety.
- Supporting local partnerships, community outreach and club promotions.

What we’re looking for Previous management or assistant management experience is essential. You may come from a fitness centre, children’s activity business, hospitality, retail, recreation or another busy customer-facing setting.

You’ll also bring

- Experience leading staff and taking responsibility for the running of a shift or site.
- Strong customer service skills and confidence resolving concerns.
- A practical approach to sales, follow-up and achieving targets.
- The organisation to coordinate events while keeping daily operations on track.
- Good judgement, initiative and a genuine interest in working with children and families.

You’ll need a current Working with Children Check.
