Senior Breach Advisor
Join The Star Brisbane as a Senior Breach Advisor and play a critical role in strengthening our risk and compliance framework across a highly regulated environment. In this influential role, you'll lead the end-to-end management of incidents and breaches, ensuring they are identified, investigated, reported, and remediated in line with regulatory, legal, and internal requirements.
You'll partner closely with business leaders to conduct root cause analysis, develop effective remediation strategies, and drive consistent, high-quality breach management practices across the property. Through the preparation of regulatory notifications, governance reporting, and analysis of breach trends and emerging risks, you'll provide valuable insights that support informed business decision-making. What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in risk management, compliance, audit, breach management, or a highly regulated environment, with the ability to manage complex incidents and regulatory obligations.
- Strong knowledge of Queensland casino regulations, AML/CTF requirements, and risk governance frameworks, with the ability to interpret and apply legislative and compliance obligations effectively.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience conducting investigations, root cause analysis, and developing practical remediation strategies.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills,
with the ability to influence outcomes and present complex risk and compliance matters clearly to a range of audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to managing breach assessments, regulatory reporting, governance documentation, and compliance activities.
- A proactive and ethical professional who thrives in a fast-paced workplace, demonstrates sound judgement, and is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, governance, and compliance.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Risk Management, Law, Business, or a related discipline will be highly regarded, along with 4-6 years' experience gained within the gaming, hospitality, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
