From $60+ per hour casual
Engage Us is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our client's team for an initial six-month contract.

We're looking for someone who knows their way around payroll, enjoys solving problems and can jump straight in and make a difference.
You'll be joining an established Payroll and People & Culture team as they transition into business-as-usual operations following the implementation of their new payroll and time & attendance systems.
Important: Previous experience using UKG Ready and/or Payroll Metrics is essential.
What you'll be doing
You'll play a hands‐on role supporting the team across end-to-end payroll, including:
Processing and validating payroll data using UKG Ready and/or Payroll Metrics
Reviewing timesheets, overtime, allowances, leave and other payroll inputs
Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies and system issues




Completing payroll reconciliations and data checks
Responding to employee and manager payroll queries
Supporting the team through the post‐implementation stabilisation period
Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and systems
Helping develop and refine payroll procedures and documentation
Working closely with Payroll, People & Culture and operational teams
What we're looking for
You'll be a great fit if you have:
Proven experience in an end-to-end payroll role
Essential experience using UKG Ready and/or Payroll Metrics
Strong knowledge of Australian payroll practices and legislation
Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy
Strong reconciliation, troubleshooting and problem‐solving skills
Experience investigating payroll and system issues
The ability to hit the ground running and manage competing priorities
A practical, positive and solutions‐focused attitude
Experience supporting payroll through a system implementation or transition is highly regarded
