About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Community Life and Leisure Team Leader to join our team in a full time position.
The Team Leader provides day-to-day guidance, coaching and support to Disability Support Workers to help ensure participants receive safe, consistent and high-quality supports.
Working closely with the Area Coordinator, you will help coordinate daily service delivery, staffing and participant activities.
You will also guide team members to follow Greenacres' systems, processes, policies and procedures.
For the right candidate, this role also offers opportunities to undertake higher duties in the Area Coordinator role, providing valuable leadership experience and opportunities for career development.
Key Responsibilities
Guide, coach and support Disability Support Workers to deliver high-quality, person-centred supports.
Promote a positive team culture aligned with Greenacres' values.
Help coordinate daily operations, staff allocation, participant schedules and activities.
Support participants to exercise choice and control, build independence and work towards their goals.




Monitor the quality and consistency of supports and ensure staff follow participant plans, policies and procedures.
Provide on-the-job training, feedback and regular check-ins with team members.
Support the Area Coordinator with staff induction, rostering, documentation and internal audits.
Build positive relationships with participants, families, carers, advocates and other service providers.
Ensure participant notes, attendance records, expenses and other documentation are completed accurately and on time.
Respond to incidents, hazards and changes in participant needs and report concerns promptly.
Promote safe work practices and contribute to a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment.
Provide direct participant support when required, including personal care, medication assistance, mealtime support, transport and community-based activities.
About You
Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or another relevant qualification, relevant experience, or a willingness to obtain the qualification within 12 months.
Experience supporting people with disability, preferably in community-based services.
Leadership, coaching, mentoring or supervisory experience.
A sound understanding of person-centred practice,



supported decision-making and the NDIS environment.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Good planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
Confidence using electronic systems to complete records, reports and administrative tasks.
Current First Aid Certificate.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Current Working with Children Check.
The right to work in Australia.
You must also be able to meet the physical requirements of the role and complete the required pre-employment checks.
