Manning Hospital is seeking a Locum ED CMO In Charge to support Emergency Department night coverage within Hunter New England LHD.
This role is suited to an experienced ED doctor who is confident working in charge, supporting patient flow, managing ED presentations, leading the shift where required and escalating concerns appropriately.
Clinical Environment
Emergency Department CMO In Charge role
Hospital-based locum position at Manning Hospital
Night shifts, generally 22:30 – 08:30
Short locum block available
Supportive ED team environment with escalation pathways available
Key Duties
- Work as ED CMO In Charge
- Assess and manage Emergency Department presentations
- Support patient flow and clinical decision-making
- Provide leadership across the shift where required
- Complete clinical documentation and handover
- Escalate clinical concerns appropriately
Eligibility Criteria
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Recent Emergency Medicine experience at CMO In Charge level
- Strong communication,
leadership and clinical judgement
- Ability to work safely within scope and escalating appropriately
- Current CV, references and compliance documents as required
