Front of House All-Rounder – Barista / Bartender / Waitstaff

5 Rivers Bistro & Bar – Cranebrook, NSW

5 Rivers Bistro & Bar is looking for an experienced, energetic and customer-focused Front of House All-Rounder who is confident working across barista, bartending and table service duties.

This role is ideal for someone who can make quality café-style coffee during breakfast and brunch service, transition into restaurant floor service throughout the day, and confidently prepare cocktails, wines, beers and other drinks during evening service.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include

- Preparing high-quality espresso coffee and café beverages
- Dialling in coffee and maintaining consistent extraction
- Milk texturing and basic latte art
- Preparing cocktails, mocktails and mixed drinks
- Serving beer, wine, spirits and other beverages
- Taking customer orders accurately
- Table service and food running
- Clearing and resetting tables
- Processing payments and using the POS system
- Maintaining cleanliness of the coffee station, bar and front-of-house areas
- Providing friendly and professional customer service
- Assisting with opening and closing procedures
- Working closely with the kitchen and management team during busy service periods

Essential Requirements

Applicants should have

- Previous commercial barista experience
- Confidence operating a commercial espresso machine and grinder
- Strong milk texturing skills
- Ability to prepare common Australian café beverages consistently
- Previous bartending or bar experience
- Knowledge of cocktails, spirits,



wine and beer service
- Current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) competency
- Previous restaurant, café or hospitality customer-service experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods
- Professional presentation and a positive attitude
- Availability across mornings, evenings and weekends as required

Highly Regarded The following would be advantageous:
- Recognised barista training or coffee-making certificate
- Cocktail-making or bartending training
- Strong latte-art skills
- Experience creating or following cocktail recipes
- Experience in a busy café, restaurant, bistro or bar
- Wine knowledge
- Experience with POS and table-ordering systems

Hours & Employment The venue operates across breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner service. Morning shifts will generally focus more heavily on coffee and café service, while evening shifts will involve restaurant and bar service.

Full-time, part-time and casual opportunities may be available depending on experience and availability.

Applicants must be available for a combination of weekday and weekend shifts.

Pay





Pay will be negotiated based on experience, qualifications and employment arrangement and will meet or exceed all applicable minimum workplace and award entitlements.

Applicable penalty rates, overtime and allowances will be provided in accordance with relevant workplace laws and the applicable industrial instrument.
