Job Description
Love machinery, solving problems and helping customers — but perhaps don't want to spend every day underneath a machine anymore?
n
EXEQ is looking for a practical, mechanically minded Parts & Warranty Officer to join our Toowoomba team.
n
This could be a fantastic next move for an ex-mechanic, fitter, parts interpreter, service adviser, machinery operator or simply a great jack-of-all-trades who understands how things work and enjoys dealing with people.
n
You don't need to know every part number on day one. We're much more interested in finding someone who can look at a problem, ask the right questions and work out how to solve it.
n
What you'll be doing
n
You'll work within EXEQ's Parts & Warranty function, helping our customers and branches with everything from identifying a mystery part to progressing a warranty claim.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Responding to parts enquiries by phone, email and in person.
n
Helping customers identify the correct parts for their machinery.
n
Providing practical and technical assistance.
n
Sourcing and ordering parts from suppliers.
n
Preparing parts quotations and assisting with parts sales.
n
Coordinating freight and dispatch.
n
Receiving and processing warranty enquiries.
n
Lodging and tracking warranty claims.
n
Following warranty claims through to resolution.
n
Liaising with manufacturers and suppliers regarding technical information and replacement components.
n
Maintaining accurate warranty records and documentation.
n
Assisting with parts inventory and stock control.
n
Working closely with Workshop, Sales, Administration and our branches.
n
Keeping customers updated rather than waiting for them to chase us.
n
Helping identify recurring product or warranty issues.
n
n
EXEQ's formal Warranty & Parts function centres on accurate warranty administration, parts supply and timely support to our branch teams and customers.
n
About you
n
There isn't one perfect background for this job.
n
You might currently be a:
n
n
Mechanic or diesel fitter wanting to get off the tools.
n
Parts interpreter.
n
Service adviser.
n
Machinery or equipment operator.
n
Agricultural, automotive or construction parts specialist.
n
Or simply someone who has spent years figuring out how machinery works.
n
n
What matters is that you're:
n
n
Mechanically minded.
n
Practical and resourceful.
n
Genuinely good with customers.
n
A natural problem-solver.
n
Organised.
n
Persistent with follow-up.
n
Comfortable using computers.
n
Able to juggle multiple enquiries.
n
Someone who takes ownership of a problem until it's sorted.
n
