About the role

Belair Turf is seeking a motivated and skilled Irrigation Technician to join our growing team. Based out of our Lonsdale office, this full-time, on-site role is heavily focused on delivering large-scale irrigation installations across golf courses and sports field (oval) construction projects throughout metropolitan and regional areas.

This position provides a unique opportunity to work on full golf course irrigation systems, including new installations and staged upgrades, as well as end-to-end irrigation delivery for oval and sports field construction. You will play a key role in projects from initial installation through to commissioning, working alongside civil and turf teams to deliver high-performance, precision irrigation outcomes.

While the role includes exposure to a variety of irrigation works, the core focus is on major construction-based projects, with additional involvement in council reserve upgrades and system improvements where required.

Key Responsibilities

As an Irrigation Technician, you will be involved in:

- Golf Course Irrigation Installations

o Installation of mainlines, laterals, and control systems

o Sprinkler installation, valve wiring, and system commissioning





o Working alongside construction and shaping teams to deliver full-course irrigation systems

- Oval & Sports Field Construction

o Installation of irrigation and drainage systems for recent sporting ovals and facilities

o Coordination with civil contractors and project managers

o Ensuring accurate set-out and system performance to specification

Skills & Experience

- Qualification in irrigation technology

- Ability to read and interpret irrigation plans and drawings

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- White Card (Construction Induction) – essential

- Relevant tickets/licenses (excavator, skid steer, etc.) – desirable

- Driver’s License – essential

- Truck License - desirable
