Help Shape a Unique Finnish Culture-Inspired Community Café

Are you passionate about great coffee, welcoming spaces, and bringing people together?

We're looking for an enthusiastic and community-minded Café Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of Poro Café, a warm and welcoming community café which will be opening soon within Finncare's residential aged care community in Thornlands. Working alongside a dedicated team of volunteers, you'll help create a unique destination where Finnish traditions meet Australian spirit.

This is more than a café role. It's an opportunity to help build a gathering place where residents, families, volunteers, staff, and members of the wider community can connect over quality coffee, homemade treats, conversation, and culture.

Located in Thornlands, Finncare is a highly regarded not-for-profit provider of Residential Aged Care, Retirement Living, and Home and Community Care.

About Poro Café

Poro Café is a community-focused café soon to be opened within the Finncare campus.



The café will be operated by the Café Supervisor and a passionate team of volunteers who share a commitment to hospitality and community connection.

We are proud of our Finnish heritage and are excited to further explore the traditions, flavours, and hospitality of Finland and the Nordic region. We are seeking someone with an interest in Nordic or Finnish cuisine and culture who can help blend these influences with contemporary Australian café culture to create a truly unique community destination.
