Forensic Intervention Services (FIS) provides evidence-based screening, assessment and intervention services for individuals in custody and the community. We focus on areas such as violent and sexual offending, restorative justice, violent extremism and family violence.

This role is responsible for leading and managing the Intake Unit, ensuring statewide referral, allocation and prison placement transfer functions align with organisational priorities and service commitments.

What you'll do

As the Manager, Intake Unit,



you will lead the delivery of statewide intake functions and oversee prison placement transfer activities to ensure eligible individuals can access intervention programs and services.

You will:

- Lead and manage statewide intake, referral and allocation processes.

- Drive service improvement initiatives that strengthen operational efficiency and service integrity.

- Provide high-level strategic advice, briefings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

- Lead collaborative partnerships across Corrections Victoria, justice agencies and community stakeholders.

- Oversee systems, processes and reporting that support service delivery outcomes.

- Lead and contribute to service design, strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills required

- Demonstrated experience leading and managing complex service delivery environments.

- Strong experience developing and implementing service and quality improvement initiatives.

- Ability to provide authoritative advice and manage complex operational issues.

- Proven stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.

- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

- Excellent communication skills, including experience preparing high-level advice and reports.

Eligibility

- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience is desirable.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment checks, which may include national police checks and misconduct screening.
