About the Role

YHI POWER is seeking an Accountant & Systems Support professional to work closely with our Finance Manager and support the wider business across finance and systems.

This early-to-mid level role combines accounting and finance support with business systems, IT support and process improvement. It would suit someone with a solid accounting background who is comfortable with technology and interested in improving systems, automation and emerging AI applications.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance

- To compute and complete periodic accounting and analytical reports to management, covering a wide range of operational processes.

- To assist the banking and trade finance funding obligations to domestic and international suppliers, including cash flow and foreign exchange.

- To assist in the preparation of budgets, including variances and performance reviews.

- To assist in the compliance of accounting standards and practices for the external auditors.

- To assist in the national monitoring and improvement of our inventory management and turnover.

- To assist in the management of critical operational expenses,



including:

o Fixed Assets

o Fleet of vehicles

o GST and BAS

o Fuel Cards

o Leased premises

o Insurances

Systems & IT Support

- To assist in monitoring and supporting our remote sales devices

- To communicate with Head Office in the maintenance and support of our SAP network

- To assist in the research of AI applications relevant to our business structure

- To assist with maintenance of local analyse & sales software

- To assist test new software rollouts

- Basic data cleaning in business systems

- Troubleshoot general staff IT issues

- Assist with researching AI and digital tools that may improve business processes

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- A degree in Accounting or Finance

- To have post graduate experience of at least 2 years, preferably in a similar position

- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting

- Solid Excel skills

- Good general IT and systems capability

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

- Good communication and organisational skills

- Ability to work across both finance and systems-related tasks

- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems will be highly regarded.

- An interest in AI, automation and business technology will also be considered an advantage.
