An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Product Developer to join a well-established Australian fashion brand with a solid presence across both local and international markets.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who has a strong technical understanding of garments, enjoys working closely with designers and suppliers, and can confidently manage their own fit sessions and critical path.
The Role

- Develop detailed specifications and tech packs alongside the design team.
- Manage incoming and outgoing samples, including measuring garments and preparing samples ahead of range and fit meetings.
- Plan and independently run fit sessions across all stages of product development.
- Provide clear and comprehensive fit comments and production approval feedback to offshore factories.
- Build strong relationships with overseas suppliers and manufacturers to ensure quality and timelines are maintained.
- Oversee garment, trim and packaging quality throughout the development process.




- Manage critical path timelines and work closely with suppliers to ensure key deadlines are achieved.
- Maintain accurate product and production information within the PLM system.
- Support the wider product and design team throughout the development and production process.

About You:
We’re looking for someone with a strong combination of product development and garment technical expertise, ideally gained within women’s fashion.
You will bring:

- Previous apparel Product Development and Garment Technician experience, ideally across womenswear.
- Strong garment construction and pattern knowledge.
- Confidence independently running fit sessions.
- Experience working directly with overseas suppliers and manufacturers.
- A solid understanding of the full garment production process, including pre-production.
- Strong textile and fabric knowledge.
- Experience negotiating costs with suppliers.
- Proficiency across Excel and Illustrator or similar tech pack/design programs.
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
