Our client is a leading packaging company servicing a range of industries and known for innovation and collaboration.

The Role

Provide accountable, long-term ownership of the automation support and maintenance capability required to operate the project reliably and to scale the model to future sites. The role bridges site operations, automation engineering, IT, host systems, WCS/middleware, maintenance providers and OEMs.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Automation Design & Engineering Manager, with functional site reporting to the Head of Operations / DC Manager.

- Act as technical lead for warehouse automation systems support, coordinating software, integration, operational technology and maintenance activities.
- Plan and coordinate preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance across conveyors, lifts, shuttles, controls, scanners, interfaces and associated automation assets.
- Lead fault triage, root-cause analysis, repeat-failure elimination and reliability improvement actions.




- Act as the central operational and technical interface for OEMs including a key vendor, WSC/Storefast and Agito, managing service cadence, escalation and vendor performance.
- Own the critical spare-parts register, classification, reorder points and availability status.
- Provide middleware support between host systems and warehouse automation vendors, troubleshooting interfaces, data flows, alarms and integration failures.
- Provide day-to-day leadership to site automation support resources, technicians, contractors and vendor personnel.
- Support commissioning, testing, acceptance, go-live, ramp-up and hypercare, converting engineering information into maintenance procedures and training material.

Skills Required

Must have skills outlined in the role as well as having a attitude of solution and an ability to work as a cohesive unit.
