About the role

Greencell is mobilising for a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and Substation construction project at Outer Harbor. Substation Electricians will be involved in a range of substation and BESS construction activities. Trade Assistants will work alongside the electrical and construction team assisting with installation, materials, site works and general construction activities.

Key responsibilities

Substation Electricians:

- Substation construction and electrical installation

- Primary plant installation

- Protection and control panel wiring

- Electrical panel fit-out and wiring

- Earthing and earth grid installation

- Cable installation and termination

- Switchyard and substation electrical works

- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics

- General HV and electrical construction activities

Trade Assistants:

- Assisting with installation, materials, site works and general construction activities

About you

Substation Electricians - Essential:

- Current A-Class Australian Electrical Licence

- Previous substation, HV or major electrical construction experience

- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings

- White Card

- Current Driver's Licence

- Strong safety record and safety-first attitude

- Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a site team

Substation Electricians - Highly regarded:

- 18+ months' experience in switchyards,



powerlines or substations

- Primary plant installation experience

- Protection and control panel wiring

- Earthing and earth grid experience

- Telehandler, EWP, Crane / CN-C6, Dogman, Rigging, Forklift, Working at Heights, First Aid / CPR / LVR

- Previous industrial experience

Trade Assistants:

- Previous experience in electrical construction, substations or HV, BESS or renewable energy, civil or major infrastructure, or construction projects

- Good attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn
