Are you an experienced fleet and workshop professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for continuous improvement? Shire of Mundaring is seeking a proactive and results-driven Coordinator Fleet and Workshop to lead our fleet management, mechanical workshop and depot operations functions.

About the Role

Reporting to the Manager Built Environment and Operations, this position is responsible for coordinating a professional fleet management service and overseeing the operation of the Shire's mechanical workshop and depot activities. The role leads a team responsible for maintaining plant and fleet assets, procurement and stores services, and ensuring safe, efficient and cost-effective operations.

Key responsibilities include:

- leading workshop, stores and purchasing staff to deliver high-quality operational support services

- managing the maintenance, repair and servicing of the Shire's fleet and plant assets

- developing and monitoring fleet replacement programs to maximise asset lifecycle and return on investment

- preparing and managing operational and capital budgets

- overseeing procurement processes, tenders and quotations

- driving continuous improvement initiatives and business process enhancements

- ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety, risk management and legislative requirements

- coordinating depot facilities and yard activities to improve operational efficiency.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:





- demonstrated leadership experience in fleet, workshop or asset management environments

- extensive experience supervising workshop operations and staff

- strong financial management skills, including budget preparation and cost control

- comprehensive knowledge of plant, equipment, fleet management practices and relevant legislation

- highly developed communication, negotiation and problem-solving skill

- a commitment to workplace safety, customer service and continuous improvement.

A salary in the range of $110,506 to $116,220 pa will be offered based on qualifications, ability and experience as well as a range of perks including:
