Workshop Leading Hand - Bunbury, WA

United Fluid Power is seeking an experienced Workshop Leading Hand to oversee the day-to-day operation of our Bunbury workshop.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a mechanically trade qualified person who enjoys a mix of technical work, workshop coordination and team supervision. You'll work across a diverse range of hydraulic maintenance, component overhaul, manufacturing and engineering activities while helping ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

About the Role

Based in our large, well-equipped Bunbury workshop, you'll be responsible for coordinating workshop activities and supporting a small team that may include apprentices and trades personnel.

Workshop activities include:

• Hydraulic component overhauls and repairs
• Hydraulic hose assembly and manufacturing
• New hydraulic system builds and manufacturing projects
• Engineering and modification work
• Component counter sales and customer support
• Workshop planning, reporting and job administration

You'll also assist with preparing quotations, maintaining workshop records and providing progress updates as required, making this role well suited to someone who is comfortable using computers and workshop management systems.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Mechanical trade qualification
• Previous experience in a workshop leadership,



leading hand or supervisory role
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• Hydraulic experience highly regarded
• Ability to coordinate multiple jobs and priorities
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Sound computer skills and confidence preparing reports and quotations
• Experience supporting apprentices and trades personnel
