About Goodlife Health Clubs

As Australia's premier, privately-owned fitness organisation, Goodlife Health Clubs is in a unique position to kickstart your career in the sector. We currently operate 97 premium clubs in Queensland, Victoria, South Australia, and Western Australia - providing improved health, well-being and a sense of accomplishment to more than 270,000 members. Our members enjoy access to industry-leading gym facilities, innovative group fitness classes and bespoke personal training solutions - empowering people throughout Australia to live the Goodlife.

As both a service provider and employer, our mission is simple: Move people to achieve great things.

The Opportunity

At Goodlife Health Clubs, we believe that greater health can change lives. As Marketing Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in bringing that purpose to life — connecting our brand with Australians and creating marketing that inspires people to take action towards a healthier, more active lifestyle.

This is an opportunity to lead the end-to-end execution of Goodlife’s marketing agenda across Australia, turning strategy into impactful campaigns that drive membership acquisition, retention and long-term brand growth.

Working closely with the General Manager of Marketing, you’ll bring our annual marketing calendar to life across brand, digital, media, partnerships, communications and commercial initiatives. From major national campaigns and new club launches to partnerships, product rollouts and local activation, you’ll be at the centre of making great marketing happen.

You’ll also lead and develop a Marketing Executive, working collaboratively across the broader business and with agency partners to deliver work that is creative, commercially focused and genuinely connected to our members.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the marketing calendar and campaign execution — own the delivery of national campaigns and key brand initiatives from brief through to execution and post-campaign evaluation.

- Build and protect the Goodlife brand — champion brand consistency across every channel and customer touchpoint, leading creative development, approvals and content production.

- Drive owned and organic communications — oversee engaging social content, eDMs and other owned-channel activity that builds connection, engagement and action.

- Lead media and awareness activity — oversee national media planning and execution across radio, OOH, screens and partnerships, working closely with digital and media agency partners to maximise performance and ROI.

- Turn insight into commercial impact — monitor acquisition, retention and brand KPIs, use data and attribution to identify opportunities, and continuously optimise campaign effectiveness and investment.

- Deliver club launches and growth initiatives — lead marketing for new club openings, major refurbishments,

new products, partnerships and member experience initiatives.

- Strengthen the member journey — partner with Automations, Digital and Product teams to improve acquisition, onboarding, retention and win-back communications, as well as website and app performance.

- Partner across the business — work closely with Regional and Club Managers, Sales, Operations and Executive stakeholders to align marketing activity with commercial priorities and ensure national campaigns translate effectively at club level.

- Lead local and community activation — support local lead generation, community events, sponsorships, club activations, Group Fitness initiatives and Corporate Sales marketing requirements.

- Lead people, projects and investment — develop the Marketing Executive, manage budgets and timelines, coordinate internal and external partners, and foster a culture of curiosity, creativity, collaboration and commercial thinking.
