About the role

We are seeking a part-time Registered Nurse who shares our values and who is passionate about educating and upskilling others to deliver high-intensity supports for people with disability. This rewarding and varied role will involve a mix of training as well as providing support and advice to the Midway team to ensure the safety and well-being of our Participants. This role is part-time, 2 days per week on a Thursday and Friday. There may be requirement for some flexibility to change rostered days and also work additional hours to cover leave for other staff.

Key responsibilities

- Training Support Workers: Educate and upskill staff to provide high-intensity support regarding individual management plans

- Assess and authorise staff competency in health-related training and individual management plan implementation

- Facilitate training programs related to clinical care as part of induction

- Supervision of an Enrolled Nurse who undertakes some facilitation of clinical training

- Compliance: Ensure high intensity care aligns with NDIS practice standards and within scope of practice

- Safeguarding Participation: Engage in Audit and relevant safeguarding activities in consultation with various stakeholders





- Support the Operations team where clinical advice is required and consult with relevant clinicians regarding clients management plans

About you

- Relevant Nursing qualification

- AHPRAH Registration

- A strong interest and experience in Training others

- A strong desire and passion to work in the disability industry

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- A high level of report writing skills

- Sound time management skills and ability to prioritise workload

- Possess a current WA drivers license

- Ability to obtain a current National Police Clearance issued within the past 6 months

- Ability to obtain a current Provide First Aid Certificate
