The Multicultural Settlement Caseworker will work to assist Department of Home Affairs Settlement Engagement Transition Support (SETS) clients to become self-reliant, independent and participate in the broader community in Albury and Wodonga. This will be achieved through casework, support, and referral to mainstream service providers, information sessions and workshops.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct case work according to the SETS program guidelines
- Refer and engage with services appropriate for high intensity cases
- Promote and assist in the CRC with major events such as Refugee Week
- Dispute resolution for client issues, legal aid etc
- Provide data to Team Leader for reporting
- DEX reporting
- Use CMS
- Act as Team Leader when Team Leader unavailable

- Diploma/Degree level or higher in community services or similar industry (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in the community services field (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience working in the Albury Wodonga community sector (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in working with people from vulnerable backgrounds (preferred)
- Hold current Class C driver's license and be willing to undertake travel as required, have own transport (preferred)
- Undertake a National Police Check and Working with Children's Check NSW & Victorian
