We are recruiting experienced support workers for a Supported Independent Living home in Melbourne's northern suburbs, supporting participants with progressive neurological conditions and high physical support needs.

This is not an entry level position. You will be working with people who rely on full hoist transfers, PEG feeding and flushes, and two-person assistance for all transfers. We are looking for workers who have done this before and do it calmly, safely and without being rushed.

What you will be doing
Delivering personal care including showering, toileting, dressing and grooming
PEG feeding, PEG flushes and site care, in line with the participant's care plan and RN direction
Two-person hoist transfers using ceiling and portable hoists, several times per shift
Continence support, including scheduled toileting at set intervals
Mealtime assistance, including for participants with dysarthria and swallowing risk




Medication assistance as per the medication chart
Supporting community access, appointments and the things the participant actually enjoys
Accurate progress notes, charting and shift handover, every shift, without exception
Reporting incidents, hazards and changes in presentation promptly and honestly

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $45.00 – $81.00 per hour
