YUCO Restaurant is a modern Byron Bay dining destination with a relaxed but refined approach to food, combining Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and South American influences with fresh Australian produce. We are looking for an experienced Senior Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

The Role

Working closely with our Head Chef and kitchen team, you will be responsible for running your allocated section during service and ensuring consistently high standards of preparation, cooking and presentation.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing your section during service

Preparing and cooking dishes to a high standard

Organising daily mise en place and service preparation

Maintaining consistency, quality and presentation

Assisting with seasonal menu development and specials

Supporting and mentoring junior kitchen team members

Maintaining food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards

Assisting with stock control, ordering and minimising food wastage

Maintaining a clean,



organised and efficient kitchen

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has solid experience as a Chef de Partie or Senior Chef de Partie (3+ years experience preferred)

A formal culinary qualification (Cert IV or higher) is not essential but will be highly regarded

Is confident running a section independently

Has strong cooking and organisational skills

Works well under pressure in a busy restaurant environment

Takes pride in food quality and presentation

Has a positive attitude and works well within a team

Has a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene
