Registered Nurse – Job Description

A Registered Nurse provides protected, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to patients. The role involves assessing patients, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient conditions, and working collaboratively with doctors and other healthcare specialists.

Key responsibilities:
Assess patients’ health conditions and nursing needs.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans.
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
Monitor and document patients’ vital signs, symptoms, and progress.
Assist with clinical procedures and provide appropriate nursing interventions.
Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment, and self-care.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
Communicate effectively with patients, families,



and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Follow infection-control, workplace-health-and-safety, and professional standards.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in patients’ conditions.
Support patients’ dignity, privacy, comfort, and wellbeing.

Essential requirements:
Current Registered Nurse registration with the relevant nursing regulatory authority.
Relevant nursing qualification.
Robust communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Sound clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
Commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Pay: $583.02 – $80,000.00 per year
