Your current company Northside Fleet Maintenance is an industry leading business providing solutions across regional and metro Australia. With our expanding network, we require a qualified, skilled and industry experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join the team based in Brisbane.
Your new role will be a diverse and rewarding experience, assisting in the development and maintenance of a variety of customer owned vehicles across Australia. Based in Brisbane, you will be required to support and motivate apprentices to meet company objectives and develop their careers. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintenance and repair services on all heavy commercial fleets to ensure all vehicles are maintained in a safe, reliable and roadworthy condition at all times. Working a minimum of 38 hours per week and overtime opportunities available.
What you'll need to succeed You are a mechanically minded individual with strong background as a Qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic and are dedicated to WH&S.; You are self-sufficient, reactive, adaptable and have good computer skills.
You work well under pressure and excel in team environments as well as autonomously. You have demonstrated people skills and are able to communicate well with customers and team members .
The following skills, licences and qualifications will lead to your success in this role:
Trade Qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic
Robust experience working with heavy vehicles, buses and trucks
High-quality Workmanship
Driver's Licence
MR or HR Licence (desirable)
Own basic trade specific tools
Available to work weekends and nights as negotiated (if required)
