About the Role

Ives Family Practice is seeking a highly experienced Registered Nurse to join our general practice team on a permanent full time basis.

We are looking for a clinically confident and proactive nurse with a minimum of five years' experience in general practice who can independently manage nursing appointments within their qualified scope and work collaboratively with our GPs.

Commencement: Within 2–4 weeks.

Key Clinical Responsibilities

Infusions and Procedures
Aclasta (zoledronic acid) infusions
Intravenous iron infusions and IV saline administration
Vitamin B12 and vitamin D injections
Implanon insertion and removal, where appropriately trained and authorised
Wound management and dressings
Immunisations and vaccinations

Health Assessments and Preventive Care
45–49-year-old health assessments
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health assessments
Health assessments for neurodivergent patients, including appropriate individualised support and reasonable adjustments
75+ health assessments




Chronic disease management and care planning
Preventive healthcare and patient education

Diagnostic Procedures
ECGs
Holter monitor fitting, patient education and removal
Assisting GPs with minor procedures

All clinical procedures must be performed within the nurse's scope of practice, training, competency and applicable protocols.

Essential Requirements
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Minimum five years' experience working in general practice
Robust clinical assessment and procedural skills
Experience in chronic disease management and preventive healthcare
Ability to manage nursing appointments independently within scope
Excellent communication and patient-centred care skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with GPs and administrative staff
Proficiency in Best Practice clinical software
