An exciting chance has become available for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to take a step up and lead the HR function on a significant energy infrastructure project based south of Perth CBD.Working for a well-established national engineering and construction contractor, you'll join the project during its early stages and have the opportunity to build and shape the HR function as the workforce mobilises and grows.This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has worked in a construction or project environment and is ready to take greater ownership, operate closely with senior project leadership and gain exposure to both HR and industrial relations.The RoleReporting directly to the Project Director, you will be the senior HR representative on the project and work alongside a broader people team covering ER/IR, recruitment, mobilisation, payroll, training and social impact.You will remain hands-on across the full employee lifecycle while providing advice and support to project leadership.Key responsibilities will include:Lead day-to-day HR activities across a major construction projectPartner directly with the Project Director and senior project leadershipSupport mobilisation and workforce growth through the project start-up phaseProvide generalist HR advice across performance, conduct, employee relations and workforce mattersWork closely with the ER/IR function on industrial relations and union mattersEstablish HR processes, systems and ways of working as the project ramps upManage HR administration,



employee changes, documentation and reportingSupport workforce capability, training and development initiativesAssist with social impact and workforce participation targetsAbout YouWe are looking for an experienced HR professional who enjoys being close to the operation and is comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment.Ideally, you will have:Senior HR Advisor, HR Business Partner or similar experiencePrevious experience within construction, engineering or major projectsStrong preference for candidates who have worked contractor-side within constructionExposure to blue-collar workforces and project mobilisationWorking knowledge of EBAs, employee relations and industrial relationsConfidence working alongside operational and project leadersThe ability to balance strategic advice with hands-on HR administrationA practical, approachable and solutions-focused working styleA desire to step into greater project-level HR ownershipWhat's On Offer?
