We're seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Infrastructure Architect to join a positive, agile and collaborative technology team, reporting to the Head of Infrastructure.You'll lead hands-on technical delivery of infrastructure projects within a predominantly Microsoft environment, working closely with project managers and business stakeholders to scope, design and deliver end-to-end infrastructure solutions.
This is not a pure architecture role.
You'll both own and deliver solutions, while collaborating with other technical team members to deliver broader infrastructure initiatives and help mature the organisation's delivery and architecture practices.Key responsibilitiesOwn infrastructure solutions from requirements and design through to deliveryLead hands-on technical implementation of infrastructure projectsWork with project managers and business stakeholders to scope solutionsDevelop technical designs, architecture documentation and implementation plansProvide technical leadership while collaborating with other technical teamsWork across Microsoft infrastructure,



Azure/hybrid environments and virtualisationContribute to the maturity of infrastructure delivery and architecture practicesIdentify opportunities to improve infrastructure performance, resilience and securityAbout you8+ years' infrastructure / systems engineering experienceStrong Microsoft / Windows Server expertiseProven solution design and end-to-end delivery experienceFinancial Services experience, ideally within a regulated enterprise environmentAzure and/or hybrid infrastructure experienceStrong networking fundamentals and VMware / virtualisation experienceUnderstanding of security, resilience, availability and disaster recoveryStrong stakeholder communication and technical leadership skillsA hands-on approach and willingness to own solutions through deliveryThe title matters less than capability.
