About the role The Chef will prepare and cook menu items and support the efficient day-to-day operation of the kitchen. This is an opportunity to work in a skilled café environment with a strong focus on fresh food, consistency, and quality.

Key responsibilities
Preparing and cooking breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
Planning and assisting with the development of menus and seasonal menu items.
Monitoring the quality of food at all stages of preparation, cooking and presentation.
Maintaining consistency in portion sizes, taste and presentation.
Estimating food requirements and assisting with food and labour cost control.
Ordering ingredients and kitchen supplies and monitoring stock levels.
Receiving, checking and properly storing food deliveries.
Working closely with management and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service.
Providing guidance to kitchen staff on food preparation and cooking procedures.
Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen.





About you
Relevant commercial cookery qualifications or equivalent relevant industry experience.
Previous experience working as a Chef in a café, restaurant or similar commercial kitchen setting.
Strong food preparation and cooking skills.
Experience working with breakfast, brunch and lunch menus.
Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures.
Ability to work efficiently in a busy service environment.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a kitchen and front-of-house team.
Good communication skills and a skilled approach to work.
