How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play.
There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do:Electronic / Electrical assemblyMechanical enclosure / component assemblyElectrical circuit fault finding and diagnosisAssemble cables, conduct hand soldering, or assemble prototype products based on schematic diagrams; accurately mark changes when instructions varyInstall field wiring and termination of motors, sensors, and smart devicesConduct and record product tests and diagnostic activities to support the production processBuild small control panels for basic machine automationUse of power tools,



manual handlingEnsure all work complies with company procedures, engineering requirements and regulatory obligationsIdentify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency and costMaintain effective working relationships with Engineering, Planning, Quality and Manufacturing teamsOther duties as requested by ManagementMinimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience:2+ years of experience in a high reliability and quality manufacturing operating environment, ideally within the aerospace industryFundamental knowledge of mechatronic, battery, avionic or electrical systemsDesired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:Knowledge of temperature, pressure, and flow measurement devices, mechanical and electrical systems, and propulsion systemsSkill in operating and manipulating machinery with great manual dexterityExperience with forklifts, cranes, and heavy equipmentAbility to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with Engineering and ProductionAbility to rapidly adapt to changes in direction while working in a fast‐paced, challenging work setting.Proficient in Microsoft Office applicationsExperience with configuration management, non‐conformance reporting, root‐cause analysis, and continuous improvement.NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferredApplicants must be an Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident or have an appropriate Australian work visa or work entitlements.Gilmour Space Technologies is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
