We're seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to join our project team at Yan Yean, supporting one of Victoria's key infrastructure programs.
This role is offered as a 12‐month maternity leave contract with a healthy pipeline of future work offering genuine long‐term potential for high performers.If you're committed to environmental excellence and skilled at influencing behaviours and decisions on busy construction sites, this role lets you make a real impact while embedding strong environmental standards across the project.What you'll be doingYou'll lead all environmental management activities across the project, ensuring compliance, driving proactive environmental performance, and building strong relationships with project leaders and work crews.Key responsibilities include:Provide practical, expert advice on environmental requirements, legislation and standardsMaintain and improve the Project Environmental Management SystemLead audits, inspections and reporting, ensuring timely close‐out of actionsInfluence and drive proactive environmental culture across site teams and subcontractorsCoordinate environmental training, awareness programs and capability upliftManage incident investigations, corrective actions and monthly environmental reportingWhat you'll bringTertiary qualification in Environmental Science or related fieldStrong operational experience in environmental management within constructionExperience investigating and reporting environmental incidentsSolid understanding of ISO ***** and risk management principlesClear, confident communication skills, written, verbal and in training environmentsAbility to plan, prioritise and deliver outcomes in a dynamic project environmentWhy join usProject‐based role in Yan Yean,
