It offers emotional support and genuine connection from someone who gets it, someone who's been there.About The RoleYou will provide compassionate, phone-based support to people seeking connection and understanding.
Your own recovery journey and lived experience will be at the heart of the work by offering participants a space where they feel validated, safe, heard and respected.Key responsibilitiesResponding to initial call and conducting scheduled support callsHolding non-judgmental, peer-based conversations that support to validate and empower participantsSupporting participants to develop personalised coping strategies and safety plansExploring distress, identifying strengths, and promoting wellbeing through shared experienceWorking closely with the Suicide Prevention Team Leader to ensure participants are matched and supported appropriatelyShift DetailsThis is a part time position (22.8 hours/week).
This is an office-based role and can be in Gympie or Rockhampton.Monday: 12pm – 6.48pmTuesday: 11am – 6pmWednesday: 2pm – 8pmSaturday:
