The dining experience for our residents is really important, meals needs to be creatively presented and tasty.Key responsibilitiesPreparing fresh and nutritious meals for residents in line with their dietary needsManaging all resources within the kitchen including equipment and food supplies within your approved budgetMaintaining a hygienically clean kitchen that is fully compliant with the Aged Care quality standardsRequired skills and attributesA heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderlyStrong communication skills and a positive attitudeExperience leading a teamQualificationsCertificate IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)Basic Food safety Practices CertificateGood understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygieneUnderstanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safetyAn understanding of modified dietsAbility to work independently and part of a multi-disciplinary teamAble to establish and maintain qualified and appropriate relationships with residents and their familiesNDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtainWhat we can offer youCompetitive hourly pay rateNo shift work!
