We're looking for a senior Platform Engineer to join a large and complex technology environment, working across cloud platforms, automation, Kubernetes and up-to-date engineering practices.This is a senior technical role for someone who enjoys building platforms that make it easier for engineering teams to deliver reliable, secure applications.
You'll be involved in both the hands‐on engineering and the broader direction of platform capabilities, working closely with engineering, architecture, security and operations teams.You'll be responsible for designing, building and continuously improving platform capabilities across a large-scale environment.Responsibilities:Designing and supporting cloud platforms across AWS and AzureBuilding and improving Kubernetes and container platformsDeveloping reusable infrastructure, automation and deployment patternsImproving CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code, particularly TerraformBuilding self-service capabilities that make it easier for developers to provision and deploy servicesEstablishing engineering standards, reusable patterns and practical guardrailsEmbedding security into platform services and delivery processesImproving monitoring, observability,



reliability and operational practicesWorking with engineering teams to improve developer experience and platform adoptionContributing to platform architecture, technical roadmaps and engineering standardsTroubleshooting complex issues across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD and platform servicesWorking across technical teams to identify opportunities for automation, standardisation and continuous improvementYou'll ideally have strong experience across:AWS and AzureKubernetes and containerisationTerraform / Infrastructure as CodeCI/CD and DevOps practicesGitHub, GitLab and ArtifactoryCloud security and DevSecOpsAutomation and policy‐as‐codeDeveloper self‐service and internal platformsService mesh technologiesObservability, monitoring, logging and distributed tracingPlatform architecture, standards and governanceExperience with Backstage, OpenTelemetry and HashiCorp Vault will be highly regarded, as will experience working with large-scale enterprise platforms and supporting critical services.You'll need to be comfortable operating at a senior level, solving complex technical problems and working with a range of engineering and technical stakeholders.Australian citizenship is required for this position.
