We are partnering with a well-established global logistics organisation based in Mascot that is seeking an additional Payroll Officer to join their team-oriented team for an initial 9-month project (with the potential to extend).

With the broader payroll team supporting a major systems implementation, you will provide essential business-as-usual payroll support, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services across a large and complex workforce.

The Role

Working within a supportive payroll team, you will be responsible for processing of both weekly and monthly payroll, while providing excellent customer service to employees and stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:
End-to-end payroll processing for approximately 900 weekly and 400 monthly employees
Processing payroll accurately and on time using Preceda
Applying Awards, Enterprise Agreements and industrial instruments
Managing payroll enquiries via phone and email
Payroll reconciliations and reporting
Maintaining employee payroll records and ensuring data integrity
Working closely with the Payroll Manager and wider payroll team to ensure business continuity during the systems upgrade





To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Experience with Preceda is preferred, although we welcome applicants with experience using comparable enterprise payroll platforms
Experience processing large-volume weekly and monthly payrolls
Previous exposure to Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements
Experience with time and attendance systems
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team-oriented team
