ABOUT THE ROLE
The Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre (HBNC) is seeking an experienced and passionateProgram Coordinatorto deliver the Industry Ready, 10-week training project to improve employability skills for vulnerable people to increase their connection to community through group work education and ultimately gain employment.
The Coordinator deliver the program in line with the goals and objectives outlined in the project service contract.
The service area covers Hervey Bay Local Government Area.
This is aHervey Bay-based role
ABOUT YOU
You bring a mix of qualified qualifications, hands-on experience, and the ability to engage with both participants and community partners.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Degree qualification in Social Work, Human Services or similar
Extensive knowledge and understanding of the complex and intersecting barriers experienced by people who are unemployed
Superior Human Relation Skills and good computer skills.
Group facilitation and training experience.




Demonstrated ability to lead collaborative case planning and multidisciplinary responses.
Demonstrated experience in intake, assessment, case management, and complex service coordination.
Strong understanding of trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centred practice.
Experience working with individuals experiencing complex social issues and barriers to participation.
Drivers Licence
Working with Children Suitability Card & Police Check

The emphasis of all of our activities is on people and the relief of issues and concerns that impede them from living a successful and happy life.
We develop and deliver programs and services in response to community need.
Presently, the Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre manages 30 funded programs that encompass aspects of aged care, family services, diversity and social isolation.
