About the Role
n
Chandler Macleod is currently seeking reliable and hardworking Process Workers with counterbalance forklift experience to join a busy pet food production facility in Laverton North.
n
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for ongoing Monday to Friday work, with the opportunity to upskill and take on forklift duties.
n
You will initially work as a Process Worker, completing site training and working towards being signed off on the site's forklift requirements. Once signed off, you will perform a combination of process work and counterbalance forklift duties.
n
Please note, this is a pet food production environment and has a strong odour. You must be comfortable working around pet food products and in a smelly setting on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Process and production work within a pet food manufacturing environment
n
Packing, sorting and general production line duties
n
Manual handling and repetitive tasks
n
Operating a counterbalance forklift once trained and signed off
n
Moving pallets, raw materials and finished products
n
Working across fresh, chilled and frozen areas
n
Following food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
n
Maintaining a clean and tidy work area
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
n
Current LF forklift licence – mandatory




n
Previous counterbalance forklift experience – mandatory
n
Available to work Monday to Friday from 5:00am
n
Comfortable working in a strong odour / pet food environment
n
Comfortable working in cold and frozen areas
n
Physically fit and able to perform repetitive manual handling tasks
n
Reliable, punctual and committed to workplace safety
n
Willing to undertake process work while completing forklift training and site sign-off
n

Experience That Will Be Highly Regarded
n
n
Food manufacturing or production experience
n
Pet food, meat, abattoir or frozen food experience
n
Warehouse experience
n
Palletising and scanning experience
n
n
