Key Duties & Responsibilities
Quality Control & Product Management
Conduct thorough quality assessments of all incoming products, evaluating against strict quality specifications and determining appropriate grading protocols and resource allocation
Implement and maintain continuous quality monitoring systems throughout all production stages, including initial washing, primary grading, secondary inspection, and final quality assurance checkpoints
Proactively identify and resolve quality issues related to mechanical damage, grading inconsistencies, or processing variations, implementing immediate corrective actions to maintain product integrity
Ensure complete and accurate Quality Assurance documentation is maintained throughout the production process, guaranteeing full product traceability from receipt through to final dispatch
Operational Excellence & Process Coordination
Maintain and monitor strict temperature control protocols throughout product handling, storage, and dispatch operations to preserve product freshness and maximise shelf life
Facilitate effective cross-departmental coordination between harvest, maintenance, and dispatch teams to ensure seamless operational workflow and timely product movement




Oversee comprehensive waste management procedures, ensuring compliance with established protocols and environmental regulations while minimising product loss
Manage all dispatch operations to guarantee outgoing products meet exact quality specifications and are prepared according to customer requirements and delivery schedules
Team Leadership & Compliance Management
Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for all personnel, ensuring consistent adherence to standard operating procedures and quality standards
Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
Implement and enforce all safety protocols and quality procedures, conducting regular audits to ensure ongoing compliance with industry regulations
Manage daily production activities and resource allocation to meet operational targets while maintaining focus on quality, efficiency, and team safety
Essential Qualifications & Experience
AQF Certificate III or IV in Food Processing, Horticulture, Operations Management, or equivalent qualification is essential
Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in a supervisory role within FMCG, food processing, or fresh produce facilities
Demonstrated experience in quality control, process management, and team supervision within a fast-paced production environment

Strong understanding of quality systems, food safety protocols, and production processes in a manufacturing environment
