Queensland Corrective Services – Woodford QLD
Co-facilitate moderate & high intensity general, violence & sexual offending programs to prisoners
Administer appropriate assessments to prisoners & prepare prisoners for offender intervention programs
Ensure offender program activities are consistent with evidence-based practice & deliver offender intervention programs in accordance with operational plans
Identify & respond appropriately to risks arising from offender assessment & management
Develop productive relationships with service providers & the community generally to enhance the community's regard for offender programs
Participate in case management activities as required for prisoners assessed as requiring program participation
Ensure the timely provision of program participation reports & advice to courts, parole boards & other agencies regarding prisoners progress in intervention
Experience or ability to deliver of group-based behavioural change programs
Experience in and understanding of the criminal justice, case management or similar human services field
Experience in a practice supervision both as supervisee and preferably a supervisor with demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and encourage others to meet the challenges of demanding work roles
Ability to engage with community groups and/or implement community development strategies
Experience or ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
Understanding and application of theories, models and research related to behavioural change techniques
Knowledge and application of research and practices, risk assessment instruments, process their application specific to effective correctional rehabilitation
Knowledge, interpretation and application of legislation, policies and procedures
Experience in problem solving, networking, risk management and conflict management
