Job Description
Cipher is looking for a social media manager to help Dimers, our lead consumer brand, show up across the platforms where sports fans and bettors discover, debate, and react to sports.

Deep US sports knowledge is non-negotiable. You know the games, storylines, rivalries, and conversations, from the NFL, NBA, and WNBA to baseball, hockey, and college sports.

This newly created role has a strong foundation to build on: 70,000+ followers, proprietary models, original data, and year-round sports coverage. We need someone who can turn that into a more consistent, influential growth driver.

Reporting to the Chief Experience Officer and working closely with our US-based team, you'll own how Dimers builds and engages audiences across X, Reddit, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Discord.

Cipher is a sports technology and media company reaching millions of fans across the US, Australia, and beyond. This full-time, hybrid role is based at our Melbourne HQ in Fitzroy.

What you'll do:

Own Dimers' social media strategy, setting direction and giving each channel a clear purpose.
n
Create, publish, and engage daily, turning data, predictions, and analysis into sharp, platform-native content and reacting to key sporting moments.
n
Use AI to accelerate your workflow while maintaining accuracy, quality, and a distinctive voice.
n
Work with editorial, data, product, commercial, and marketing on content ideas, paid social, and Cipher's broader company story.

Draw on design and production support while handling everyday graphics and edits yourself.
n
Track audience growth, engagement,



and downstream actions using social media analytics tools, turning insights into improvements.

Who you are:
n

You know US sports inside out and understand the audience we're trying to reach.
n
You've grown a relevant brand's social audience and know what works across different platforms.
n
You're both strategic and hands-on: comfortable setting direction, managing competing priorities across platforms, and delivering content yourself.
n
You already use AI to improve efficiency and can demonstrate how it strengthens your work.
n
You're a sharp storyteller with solid editorial judgment, a responsible approach to sports betting content, and an understanding of US versus British English.
n
You have practical Photoshop or equivalent design skills and basic video editing ability.
n
Sports betting experience is a bonus.
