Randstad are seeking applications from available and suitable candidates for the role of Senior Project Engineer within a leading mining and resources organisation. Due to a commitment to asset upgrades, this exciting opportunity is available.

You will support the Construction Manager by providing engineering and technical delivery support across procurement, construction and commissioning, acting as a key technical interface between design, the contractor and client stakeholders, and ensuring engineering issues are resolved without impact to safety, quality or programme.

Key responsibilities of this role include:
n
n
Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development and ensure high performance outcomes in assets, employees, contractors and customers
n
Proactive in field leadership
n
Coordinate the integration of the project engineering across project execution
n
Coordinates the delivery of the engineering quality assurance activities across all areas
n
Review and disposition of non-conformances, working with design, procurement and construction stakeholders to reach timely resolution.
n
Provide technical support during procurement activities, including review of vendor documentation, material submittals and Inspection and Test Plans.
n
Providing field engineering support during construction, including responding to site queries, issuing design clarifications and managing redline mark-ups.
n
Supporting pre-commissioning,



commissioning and handover activities, including punch list management and coordination of as-built documentation.
n
Maintaining the project document control register and coordinating engineering deliverables in line with BHP requirements.
n
Liaise with contractors, consultants and other stakeholders regarding management of the project
n
n
The successful candidate will possess:
n
n
A degree in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical)
n
Proven Senior Project Engineer experience on pipeline, civil or mechanical construction projects, ideally within a mining environment.
n
Strong technical engineering background in piping/pipeline design and construction
n
Solid understanding of "safety in design" principles
n
Excellent computing and presentation skills
n
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
n
Highly technical and detailed
n
Energetic with a positive, can-do attitude
n
n
Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role and preference will be given to those with mining experience. Take this opportunity to secure a rare role offered on a 5/2 Adelaide based roster with regular site travel.
