We are currently seeking experienced Senior Cloud Architects / Cloud Engineers for a major Australian Government ICT program.

About the Opportunity
n
The successful candidates will contribute to the design, delivery and ongoing improvement of enterprise cloud platforms and cloud-based solutions.
n
You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to develop secure, scalable and reliable solutions aligned with enterprise architecture principles and Australian Government standards.
n
n
Develop enterprise-level cloud platform architectures across Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
n
Develop high-level solution architectures for cloud-based systems
n
Provide detailed architecture guidance to cloud engineers and development teams
n
Analyse user and stakeholder requirements and provide technical impact assessments
n
Ensure enterprise and system solutions align with relevant Australian Government standards
n
Provide technical guidance throughout the design and build of cloud-based systems
n
Work collaboratively with business owners, Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, developers, enterprise architects and testers
n
Support user-focused and reliable technology solutions
n
Provide expertise in cloud platform automation, testing, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code
n
Promote cloud architecture principles including reuse, configuration over customisation and open access
n
Provide technical leadership, influence and mentoring across multidisciplinary teams
n
n
Essential Technical Skills
n
Solid experience with:
n
Microsoft Azure: App Services, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure SQL, Service Bus and API Management
n
Azure DevOps: Code development, source control, repositories, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD deployments
n
Security & Identity: Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Key Vault,



Azure Monitor and Application Insights
n
Azure Networking: Virtual Networks, Private Endpoints and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
n
Integration: Experience integrating cloud-based systems with third-party platforms, including CRM solutions such as Microsoft Dynamics 365
n
Architecture: Enterprise-level and application-level cloud architecture, solution design and technical documentation
n
n
5+ years of experience implementing and managing cloud systems and technologies
n
Demonstrated experience working with Agile, multidisciplinary teams
n
Ability to work effectively with geographically dispersed teams
n
Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels
n
Ability to collaborate, mentor and contribute positively to team environments
n
Strong technical leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
n
Experience providing impact analysis and technical guidance for project delivery
n
Understanding of Australian Government / Whole-of-Government standards and architectural principles
n
Experience designing and documenting architectures for large, complex enterprise environments
n
Technical leadership across both project and operational environments
n
Strong understanding of cloud technologies and enterprise cloud architectures
n
Application, integration and/or infrastructure platform architecture experience
n
3+ years' experience designing and documenting architectures for large, complex enterprise systems
n
Experience with AWS and/or GCP is desirable but not essential
n
n
Remote working arrangements are available.

Remote arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis, in consultation with the supervising manager and subject to business requirements.
