In this junior, hands-on Production Assistant role you'll be working as the direct support to the Production Manager and Creative team. The successful candidate will provide dedicated, day-to-day operational support to the team and help manage workloads, keep projects organised, and ensure all administrative, cross-functional, and production tasks move forward smoothly.
Acting as operational support across creative asset production, PR and training events, and business admin, you will assist with production administrative duties and perform on-set runner tasks during video shoots.
(Due to the nature of the team and the work they do, this role is on-site 5 days a week.)

Our Creative team has taken Sleeping Duck from a little-known start-up to a household name in 10 years. The Creative team develops the Sleeping Duck vision and brings it to life, working closely with the Product, Media and Marketing teams to integrate the creative vision into everything we present to the customer.




We are proud to produce all our media in-house and redefine how Australians buy a mattress.
Consisting of marketers, designers, UX, growth, media buyers and senior leaders working collaboratively to create, drive and publish the narrative for Sleeping Duck.
In the past 12 months, we've expanded and diversified our reach to advertise on all channels - "above the line" - radio, TV, billboards and digital channels - Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Podcasts, growing Sleeping Duck's prompted brand awareness to 61% of all Australians.
What You'll Be Doing
Administrative Support
Day-to-day organisational support to the Production Manager and Creative team including:
Coordinating calendars, scheduling meetings, and handling logistical planning as requested and attending key meetings to take clear, accurate notes and capture action items.
Ordering print and marketing supplies, assisting in the management of marketing materials, and handling practical operational requests where required.
Maintaining our production spaces, storage areas, and workspaces, making sure they are clean and organised.
Project Management Support
Pre-production preparation working with other team members, including the drafting and distribution of call sheets, location details, parking maps, and shoot briefs.
Helping build and update project timelines, schedules, and tracking systems to support workflow execution and assisting with updating and maintaining Asana boards, task lists, and project records.
Production
Supporting shoot logistics on an as-needed basis, including helping coordinate crew travel, transport,



product/prop sourcing and catering and acting as a hands-on set runner during shoot days, ensuring the team and talent are supported.
Providing active, hands-on support before, during, and after event execution such as errands, setup, and pack-down.
People who we'd love to meet
The Essentials
1–3 years as a Production Assistant, Junior Coordinator, or Admin Assistant in creative production, marketing, or operations.
Exceptional organisational ability, able to track multiple moving parts across administrative and production workflows.
A clear and professional communication style.
Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
Bonus Points
Experience understanding and translating briefs.
Direct experience using Asana or similar project management software.
Experience supporting on-set productions.
