Principal Mechanical Engineer
Location: Osborne Park, WA (Primero Group) – Engineering
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance of project design products with the Design Procedure.
Ensure design products comply with applicable legislation, standards, client, third party and project requirements.
Ensure design products are delivered in accordance with the project schedule and budget.
Provide advice and expertise to the design progress, issues, holds, change, risk, and deliverables register.
Ensure designs are fit for purpose and consider all aspects, including, cost, constructability, operability, and maintainability.

Your Opportunity




We are recruiting for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering Team on an ongoing, full time basis.
As a technical expert you will be required to provide engineering advice to a range of minerals processing projects and their engineering teams across various commodities.
This role will be based at our new Head Office located at 219 St Georges Tce, Perth.
The office is adjacent to the train station and offers state of the art end of journey facilities, including secure storage for bicycles and scooters.
It also has a gym with daily fitness classes, a tennis court, basketball hoop and a swimming pool available for all Primero employees to enjoy.
About The Candidate
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
15+ years' experience in minerals processing design.
Demonstrated experience as a Design Engineer delivering minerals processing projects.
Chartered Professional Engineer (desired).
Proven ability to provide technical expertise to engineering teams.
Detailed understanding of multi-discipline design delivery within the minerals processing sector.
Solid understanding of statutory and industry regulations and HSE practices.
Knowledge and practical application of design theories, principles, and practices.
Advanced level of expertise with engineering technical detail.
Demonstrated planning and organisation skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
