Key responsibilities
The Personnel Security Unit is responsible for assessing the suitability of employees, contractors and other personnel who require access to Victoria Police information, systems, facilities and assets.
Reporting to the Team Leader, Personnel Security, the successful applicants will undertake personnel security vetting activities, assess complex information from a range of sources, and provide recommendations that support informed personnel security decision-making.
Conduct personnel security vetting, suitability assessments and screening activities for employees, contractors and other personnel seeking access to information, systems, facilities and assets classified as Protected or above.
Assess an individual's suitability to obtain or maintain a security clearance up to and including Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2), where applicable, in accordance with Victoria Police personnel security policies, procedures and risk management principles.
What you need
Experience assessing and analysing sensitive or complex information and making informed recommendations in accordance with policies, procedures and risk management principles.
Solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare explicit, concise and accurate assessments, reports and recommendations.
Ability to manage competing priorities and an allocated workload while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
