MCM Construct is a national transport business delivering specialised haulage for major construction & infrastructure projects, linehaul operations, express freight, FMCG and wharf cartage. We operate a brand new multi-combination fleet and pride ourselves on safety, reliability and doing the job right — every load, every day.
The role
You will be operating A-double combinations on structured transport runs daily between regional Victoria and Clayton, Melbourne. Your responsibilities will include:
Safely operating A-double combinations
Coupling, uncoupling and splitting trailer combinations, when required
Loading, securing and checking freight before departure
Correctly applying and inspecting load restraints and lashings
Completing daily vehicle and trailer pre-start inspections
Following approved routes, schedules and site requirements
Completing delivery paperwork and electronic job records
Immediately reporting defects, delays, incidents and safety concerns
Complying with fatigue, mass, load-restraint and Chain of Responsibility requirements
Maintaining professional communication with operations, customers and site teams
What you'll need
To be considered, you must have:
Previous A-double or B-double driving experience




Robust practical experience in load restraint including chains and binders.
A sound understanding of fatigue management, mass requirements and Chain of Responsibility
A good driving history and robust safety record
A reliable, qualified and team-focused attitude
The ability to complete paperwork and use electronic driver systems
Australian working rights
