Project Coordinator – Commercial Interiors & Architectural Joinery

JFK Interiors is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join our Projects team in Campbellfield.
We deliver large-scale commercial interior fit-out and architectural joinery projects across Melbourne and are looking for someone organised, proactive and comfortable working across multiple projects at the same time.
This is a hands-on coordination role supporting our Project Managers and working closely with our Drafting, Purchasing, Production and Site teams.
You will be involved in everything from drawings and material take-offs through to procurement, scheduling, project documentation and installation coordination.
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with our Project Managers, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting Project Managers with the day-to-day coordination of projects
Preparing material and hardware take-offs from working drawings
Coordinating procurement of materials, hardware and subcontract items
Liaising with suppliers and Purchasing to ensure materials are ordered and delivered on time
Monitoring critical and long-lead items
Assisting with project delivery and installation schedules
Liaising with clients regarding drawings, specifications and project requirements
Coordinating information between Project Management, Drafting, Estimating, Purchasing and Production
Maintaining drawing, variation and transmittal registers
Monitoring project purchases against budget
Following up outstanding information and project queries




Attending project handover and weekly production meetings
Identifying potential issues early and keeping the Project Manager informed
Ensuring project requirements, specifications and company procedures are followed
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, switched on and capable of following projects through to the end.
Ideally, you will have:
Previous experience in project coordination within commercial construction, fit-out, joinery or a related industry
The ability to read and understand architectural and construction drawings
Strong planning and organisational skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Confidence dealing with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
A practical understanding of construction programmes and project delivery
Good Microsoft Office and general computer skills
A robust work ethic and willingness to take ownership of your responsibilities
Experience within commercial joinery or interior fit-out will be highly regarded.
