Our kitchen operates as a relaxed European diner within our fully licensed taproom. The menu is underpinned by house-made Roman-style pizzas and accompanied by European-inspired dishes designed to share and pair naturally with our hand-made beers and selected quality wine list.
We are looking for a chef who takes pride in what leaves the kitchen and understands that consistency, quality, presentation and attention to detail are what bring customers back time and time again.
With summer approaching, we want to confidently promote our food and attract more diners to the venue. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring that every dish reflects the standards we want Boiling Pot Brewing Co. to be known for.
As Head Chef, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, working closely with the Front of House Manager to ensure an efficient service and a positive customer experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and supporting the kitchen team during service
Preparing and executing the existing menu to a consistently high standard
Maintaining food quality, presentation, portion control and timing
Taking pride in every dish that leaves the kitchen
Ensuring our Roman-style pizzas are prepared and cooked consistently
Delivering European-inspired dishes that are enjoyable to share and complement our hand-made beers and selected wines
Identifying practical improvements to recipes, preparation methods and service where appropriate
Managing kitchen stock, ordering and inventory
Monitoring food costs and cost of goods sold
Controlling kitchen labour and operational costs
Preparing kitchen rosters in consultation with the Front of House Manager
Maintaining food safety, cleanliness and workplace safety standards
Training and developing kitchen team members
Ensuring the kitchen is organised, prepared and ready for service
Working calmly and effectively in a busy taproom environment

You will not be expected to completely redesign the menu. We value a chef who can execute the existing offering exceptionally well, maintain high standards and make considered recommendations where improvements would benefit the customer, the team or the business.

Hours and lifestyle
Thursday and Friday from 5:00 pm
Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 pm
Monday to Wednesday are generally free, with Thursday and Friday daytime also available outside preparation requirements.
