Parbati & Nihaal Pty Ltd trading as Gulabi House Indian Restaurant & Café located at 36 Taylor Street, Kadina SA **** is seeking qualified Full-Time Chef to join our friendly and professional kitchen team.

This position is suited to a passionate and experienced chef who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and has solid skills in Indian and Nepalese cuisine.

Position: Full-Time Chef

Location: Kadina, South Australia ****

Employment Type: Full-time (38 hours per week)
n
Salary: AUD $80,000 per year plus superannuation
n

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Plan and develop menus in consultation with management.
n
Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian and Nepalese dishes, including regional curries.
n
Prepare and cook Tandoori dishes and Indian appetisers.
n
Ensure food is prepared and presented to a high standard.
n
Prepare meals for customers with special dietary requirements.
n
Manage kitchen preparation lists and coordinate kitchen operations.
n




Monitor food costs and assist with stock control and ordering.
n
Receive, store, and rotate food supplies according to food safety standards.
n
Train and supervise kitchen staff when required.
n
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure compliance with food safety and workplace health & safety standards.

Skills and Experience Required
n
Relevant Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
n
At least 2 years of experience as a chef in a commercial kitchen.
n
Experience preparing Indian and Nepalese cuisine, including curries and tandoori dishes.
n
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards.
n
Good communication and teamwork skills.
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
Availability to work on weekends, evenings, and public holidays on a rotating roster.
