Job Description
Reporting to the Quality Lead, the Quality Control Officer is responsible for the testing, inspection and documentation activities that ensure raw materials, in-process goods and finished products meet Mavlab's specifications and regulatory requirements. You'll work closely with Production, Quality Assurance and Warehouse to support timely, compliant product release.

Key responsibilities

Perform physical, chemical and microbiological testing of raw materials, packaging, in-process samples and finished goods against approved specifications
n
Accurately record and review test results, ensuring full compliance with GMP documentation standards
n
Support batch record review and product release activities alongside the QA team
n
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, and assist with method validation and stability testing programs
n
Identify and report out-of-specification (OOS) or out-of-trend (OOT) results, and support root cause investigations
n
Assist with internal audits, supplier quality checks and TGA/APVMA inspection readiness
n
Maintain a clean, protected and organised laboratory in line with WHS and GMP requirements
n
Contribute to continuous improvement of QC procedures, test methods and turnaround times

About you
n




Degree or diploma in Science, Chemistry, Pharmacy or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience)
n
Prior QC experience in a pharmaceutical, veterinary, food or related GMP-regulated manufacturing environment preferred
n
Working knowledge of GMP, TGA and/or APVMA requirements, or a strong willingness to learn
n
Hands-on laboratory testing experience (wet chemistry, HPLC, microbiology, or similar)
n
High attention to detail and strong, accurate documentation practices
n
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a cross-functional team
n
A proactive, problem-solving mindset and commitment to quality and continuous improvement
