A highly regarded Australian commercial law firm is looking to appoint an Associate or Senior Associate to its growing Corporate M&A; practice.

What you will do

This is an opportunity to work on the same types of transactions that attract lawyers to top-tier and international firms, while gaining the hands‐on experience, client access and deal responsibility that can be harder to find in larger teams.

The practice advises founders, private groups, investors and listed companies on acquisitions, divestments, capital raisings, restructures and other significant corporate transactions. Many matters are high-value, complex and strategically important, with the team regularly competing against some of Australia's largest law firms.

The opportunity

You will advise on a broad range of matters, including:
n

Private M&A; transactions
n
Business acquisitions and disposals
n
Shareholder and joint venture arrangements
n
Capital raisings and investment transactions
n
Corporate restructures
n
General corporate and commercial advisory work
n
n
The role offers meaningful responsibility and the chance to be involved throughout the entire transaction lifecycle, from initial structuring discussions through to negotiation and completion.

About you
n

Corporate / M&A; experience gained within a well-regarded law firm
n
Excellent academic results
n
Strong technical foundations and commercial judgement
n
The ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues
n
n
Valid Australian working rights are required.
