About the Role
n
This is a full-time position for a skilled and reliable Carpenter. The successful candidate will undertake a broad range of carpentry and general construction duties across residential and commercial projects.
n
You will work closely with builders, supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with architectural plans, specifications, building standards, and project timelines.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Read and interpret architectural drawings, building plans, specifications, and measurements.
n
Measure, mark, cut, shape, and assemble timber and other building materials.
n
Construct and install timber frames, walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, doors, windows, and other structures.
n
Install and repair doors, window frames, skirting boards, architraves, mouldings, and other timber fixtures.
n
Construct formwork and temporary structures for concrete and other construction works.
n




Perform carpentry work across residential and commercial construction projects.
n
Use a range of hand tools, power tools, and specialised carpentry equipment safely and effectively.
n
Ensure all work is accurately measured and is level, plumb, square, aligned, and finished to a high standard.
n
Join and secure timber and other materials using nails, screws, bolts, adhesives, and appropriate fixing methods.
n
Carry out repairs, alterations, renovations, maintenance, and refurbishment work.
n
Work with timber, plywood, MDF, particleboard, and other building materials.
n
Erect and dismantle restricted-height scaffolding and temporary structures in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
n
Inspect materials and completed work to ensure quality and compliance with plans and specifications.
n
Maintain a clean, organised, and protected work environment.
n
Coordinate effectively with supervisors, builders, subcontractors, and other trades.
n
Follow all workplace health and safety requirements, building regulations, Australian Standards, and company procedures.
n
Identify construction issues and contribute to practical and effective solutions.
n




Complete assigned work within project schedules and to the required quality standards.

About You

Certificate III in Carpentry or a higher-level qualification in
carpentry/building.
n
Minimum 1 year of full-time relevant carpentry industry experience.
n
White Card.
n
Relevant practical knowledge and experience in residential and/or commercial construction.
n
Ability to work full-time and in person.

Salary & Employment
n
Employment Type: Full-time
n
Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 per year + superannuation
n
